Ink. is an entirely student-run magazine, supported by the Economics and Business department, produced three times each academic year. It is distributed each term to members of the fourth year and above.
Founded last summer by a group of sixth formers, the magazine is packed with articles focusing on current issues in the world of economics, politics and business. From the UK to China, climate change to the Internet, articles pinpoint topics relevant to what readers see now and what they are likely to see in the future. Through contemporary styling and full-colour pages, the Ink. team present issues relevant to the magazine’s main readership – their fellow students.
Student contributors and editors do every element of the full-colour magazine, from the articles themselves to the styling, the typesetting to the editing, in-house. This not only offers them a chance to explore issue in depth outside the classroom, but it is a brilliant opportunity for those interested in journalism, economics, business or politics. Any student who receives a copy of Ink. can be a contributor. If you are interested in becoming a contributor, please see Pranav Khamar (U6KL) or Mr Walton (Head of Economics and Business).
Ink. is partially funded by revenues from advertising within the magazine. The editors are looking for sponsors to purchase exclusive full-page advertising spaces placed prominently within future issues. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact the economics and business department on (01244) 689536 or email stephenwalton@kingschester.co.uk.

Issue 1
The first, 24-page issue was distributed to members of the fourth year and above in November 2006. Articles covered topics, such as:
- The UK’s first Supercasino
- Internet Neutrality
- Space Tourism
- The Three Gorges Dam in China
- The recent growth of Product Placement in the media
The magazine also included a crossword, a column on blogging and an invitation for letters to the editor.

Issue 2
Preparation of the second issue is well under way, with a team of new L6 contributors. This spectacular cover, created by Adam Plumbley (U6), reflects the main theme of this issue - “changing the world”; articles will look at whole-world issues, such as climate change, globalisation and development.
Ink. 2 should go to press during the second half of the Lent Term.
