Remove Maths Day on Friday 4 July - photos

Maths can be fun!

All of the Remove pupils took part in a Maths Day. The day consisted of many maths workshops where children could explore areas of maths well outside a traditional curriculum.
The Maths Day has been running for the last four years and improves year on year. Staff from a wide range of academic disciplines use their creative skills to show maths at work within their specialist subjects. Some of the workshops include:

  • The Mathematics of gambling
  • Maths in the Media
  • Squash that circle
  • Magical Mathematics of music
  • To infinity and beyond
  • Jeux et énigmes

“It is designed to appeal to all the children, not just the top mathematicians and is presented in such a fun way that all the pupils thoroughly enjoy it. It is great that we can find time to dedicate a whole day to maths,” said Mrs Crewe-Read, Head of Maths.
