Fees List 2008-2009

The tuition fee includes the cost of all stationery, the loan of text books and fees for public examinations at GCSE and GCE (except resit fees) plus personal accident insurance.

Acceptance deposit £100 £150 £150

Termly tuition fee £2417 £3154 £3154

Lunches £185 per term

Payment is normally by direct debit monthly or termly by the start of each term. The amount due is invoiced in advance. It is the governors' policy to keep fees to the minimum consistent with maintaining and, where appropriate, improving the school's standards and facilities. Fees are normally reviewed annually with effect from each September and are only subject to further increase in any year if external factors cause costs to rise at a substantially higher rate than estimated. Parents normally receive a term's notice of any increase.

It is the policy of the school to give whatever financial assistance it can where the need exists. We do not wish able students to be prevented from coming to the school because their parents are unable to provide the full fees. Although the Government Assisted Places scheme no longer provides support for students joining the school, the school's Bursary Trust Fund is used to help deserving applicants where possible, particularly those coming into the senior school from maintained primary schools. No student should be deterred from applying for a place at the school. If you wish to discuss the matter of financial assistance, please contact the Registrar (tel: 01244 689553 or email: registrar@kingschester.co.uk).
