Jump to a list of senior school clubs and societies Music and drama thrive at King's and all students are encouraged to participate in those activities. Rehearsals take place in lunch hours and after school as well as at weekends.
The school enjoys outstanding success in inter-school
sports competition and students frequently achieve county or national
representation in their chosen sport. A wide range of inter-school
sports fixtures is offered to all age groups. The sports available
to students include football, hockey, rugby, cricket, tennis, basketball,
badminton, athletics, cross-country and netball.
There is an extremely lively tradition in music. The orchestra and choir perform regularly and every pupil participates in the annual concerts. Each year there are two drama productions and all pupils above the first year can become involved. Boys enjoy many short courses as part of the general curriculum including drama, food preparation, first aid, golf and cycling proficiency.
The school has extensive playing fields and few
primary schools can offer the range of games available here. We
field five or six teams at football and two teams at cricket and
many fixtures take place on Saturdays. Selection for teams is on
merit and all boys can be considered. There is a full inter-house
sporting programme for all and competitive and recreational opportunities
in swimming, tennis, athletics, cross country and pop lacrosse. List of regular senior school activities

Many
clubs and societies operate within the school and we encourage sixth
form students to run activities for junior students. 
Clubs
and activities take place during lunch hours when there is also
plenty of time for play. We also offer foreign holiday excursions
and an annual adventure holiday.
