Almost 1/3rd of King’s students get straight As and 9 heading to Oxbridge
Almost a third of our students gained straight A grade results in all their subjects with some exceptional individual performances from:

Gordon Beck gained 6 A grades and AEA* in History

Adrian Tickridge-Day and James Andrade gained 5 A grades

Leo Scott gained 5 grade As and AEA in Biology

Joe Lloyd gained 5 A grades and AEA in English

14 students gained 4 A grades

14 students gained 3 A grades

9 students are going to study at Cambridge or Oxford
99.2% gained A levels and over 50% of these were at A grade.
The Headmaster said, “It is a tremendous set of results and my congratulations go to all our sixth form students who have worked so hard during this year. To have one in three students gaining straight As, and over half of them four or more at that, is staggering. I am very proud that all our students are going on to study at some of the finest universities in the country which only goes to show what well rounded and independent people they are.”
*AEA- Advanced Extension Papers are taken by probably less than 3% of the students nationally
1/3 rd of King’s students gain at least 9 A*/A GCSEs
A third of all students at The King’s School gained at least 9 straight A or A* GCSE grades with one student gaining 10 A*s. Oscar Hayward of Caerwys gained 10 A*s, and Caitlin Deering and Jack Webb of Chester and James Carr of Harwarden gained 9A*.
43 students studied IGCSE Maths, regarded by some to be more a challenging course, and achieved a stunning 98% A*/A pass rate.
99.9% of the GCSE’s passes were at grade A-C and 72% at A or A*.
