Biodiversity expedition to Ecuador - July 2008
Preparing for Ecuador Training and familiarisation exercise on Moel Famau
Close encounters with exotic creatures As an ice-breaker for the participants taking part in next summers biodiversity trip to Ecuador, we invited Simon Airey from Corner Exotics to visit the school. He brought a selection of creatures from all over the world which we were able to handle whilst he talked to us about them. After a few ‘aaahhs' and ‘oohs' when he brought out the chinchilla and hedgehog there were a few worried faces when scorpions, spiders and snakes appeared. Simon gave us a very entertaining and informative experience together with a chance to meet and get to know some very interesting creatures (including our fellow travellers!). click on a photo to view larger versions in a new window
