Lady Edwina Grosvenor gave a presentationto at a morning assembly about her work with the
Trust in Nepal. She spoke to
the whole school about 23 girls who had recently been come under
the care of the Trust. They were rescued from a circus in Goa (on
the west coast of India) - along with a sum of 100,000 rupees which
had been given to the children. During their return journey to
Nepal they were intercepted by a gang of 30 men who attempted
to abduct the girls and steal the money. Fortunately the attempt
failed and the girls are now in the care of the Trust. The first
photo below shows the girls after their return.
