King's lost 0 to 4
The U13's Tennis Team consisting of L. Williams, O. Green, J. Stirrup and A. Rodger lost in the county semi final to a very good team from Wilmslow High School. King's put up a brave fight but the opposition was too strong and included players with a low LTA Rating. It was a good experience and the King's team should feel very proud of their achievements both in this competition and throughout the season. CM

The U13's Tennis Team consisting of Luke Williams, Oliver Green, Jack Stirrup and Adam Rodger won The Chester and District Tennis Tournament. They beat Blacon High School and Christleton High School before beating Abbeygate School in the final. Congratulations and very well played team!  CM

The 'A' Team Tournament was very close indeed, with King's gaining 2nd place out of 7 teams, narrowly missing out to Queen's by 3 points!

It was a very enjoyable tournament to watch, and King's came 2nd in the tournament overall.  Well done girls!

The 'B' Team Tournament was very close, with King's and Queen's both coming joint first with 31 points each!

It was a very enjoyable tournament to watch, and King's came 2nd in the tournament overall, missing out by 3 points (57-60).  Well done girls!

The U13's Tennis Team consisting of L.W illiams, O.Green, J.Stirrup and A. Rodger all played really well and beat a very strong team from Lymme High School. After the doubles and singles events the rubbers were even but King's won on a countback of games. Well played and congratulations on achieving such a good victory.  CM

The U12's Tennis Team consisting of  R. Macloskey, S. Arshad-Roberts, B.Pickering and C. Homer played singles and doubles matches against The Grange School and lost. The team played really well and were unlucky to lose, but saying that , the opposition was very strong.  CM

This was a really good morning and all the girls played excellent tennis at times against some tough opposition.  Katie Longson partner Charlotte Wheeler deserve special mention as they won all three of their games.

Both sets of girls had a fantastic afternoon of tennis and came runners-up in this tournament by only 1 game!! Both couples beat their corresponding couple from Abbeygate and Bishop Heber. Both couples drew with Queens School which resulting in 29 points for both schools. On a count back of games The Queens School achieved one more game than King's and won.

Both girls reached the semi-finals of this Year 9 Singles Tournament and played very good tennis all of their matches. In the preliminary rounds both girls won two matches and lost one.

Upton - Won - 6-3, Heber - Lost - 2-6, Queens - Drew - 4-4, Bishops - Won - 5-2, Abbeygate - Won - 8-0.

We came 3rd overall in this Chester & District Tournament, with only 1 point behind the runners-up!  Well done girls!

The first year tennis team consisting of Cameron Hogg, Samuel Arshad-Roberts, Cameron Thompson and Rudi Macloskey played six sets of doubles and between them they only lost twelve games! The result was 6-0  victory for King's. Well played all of you this was some victory.  CM

The second year tennis team consisting of Luke Williams, Oliver Green, Jack Stirrup and Adam Rodger played six sets of doubles and each pair managed to win one and loose one match which meant the overall result was a draw. Congratulations go to all the players.  CM

Ian Britton and Sean Boyd played in the U19's British Schools Northern Region tennis tournament at Bolton. They reached the semi final which was a tremendous achievement beating Malton School, Bolton School (last years winners), Ampleforth College before loosing to Queen Elizabeth Grammar School. Both players are to be congratulated on their performance, reaching the semi final in a competition of this standard is quite an achievement. CM

The U15's Tennis Team consisting of Serg Oscula, Matthew Jones, Rob Stein and George Cope played singles and doubles against The Grange Schhol. After the singles matches the score was 3-1 to The Grange, although all the matches were close only Serg managed to win. We also lost all the doubles matches to some very strong Grange pairs. Although defeated all the team played really well and never gave up. Well played. CM

The U14's tennis team consisting of Ketan Dhital, Harry Dodd-Moore, Jack Taylor and George Daly played a friendly singles and doubles match against The Grange. We only won one rubber and that was George Daly's singles. The team are to be congratulated for playing so well against some very strong opposition. CM

1st IV boys against Birkenhead School (National Schools Knock-Out) - Wednesday, April 23, 2008 (away)
King's lost 3 to 4

The senior boys tennis team played Birkenhead School in the first round of the National Schools Knock Out  (Glanville Cup ) at Bidston Tennis Centre. Ian Britton and James Barber won their singles rubbers but  Sean Boyd and Simon Bate lost. The doubles rubbers were also halfed Ian and Sean won but James and Simon lost. The match was drawn and had to be decided with one pair from each team playing a ten point tie break. Sean and Ian played  for King's and lost a closely fought tie break 7-10. The match was played in a tremendous spirt and the standard and quality of tennis was very high. All players are to be congratulated.  CM

Aberdare Cup.  A very close result with King's just winning on games in the final set.  They now go on to play The Grange School in the Regional Quarter Finals.

The first tennis team consisting of : J. Barber, I..Britton, S. Boyd and S. Bate played Rydal School. After the singles rubbers the score was 3=1 to King's, this was followed by some excellent doubles in which King's won three of the four rubbers. The final result was 6-2 to King's. Well done !  CM

King's drew 3 to 3

The King's second team  consisting of : P. Fletcher, J. Witter, S. Mosford, and T. Ham played Rydal School. After the singles rubbers the score was 2-2. This was followed by two doubles rubbers in which we won and lost one. The overall match was drawn and all players are to be congratulated on their performance in this competitive and entertaining match.  CM

King's lost 22 to 27

The Boys Senior Tennis Team consisting of Ian Britton, Simon Bate, Patrick Fletcher and Justin Witter played Rydal School. Ian and Patrick won their singles matches and Simon and Justin lost , so the match rested on the doubles. Ian and Justin won their match but Simon and Patrick lost, the match was therefore a draw. However, King's lost on a countback of games. King's won 22 games and Rydal won 27. Bad luck but well played.  CM

1st team boys against Ellesmere College (Nestle National Knock Out U19 Boys) - Wednesday, January 09, 2008 (home)
King's won 5 to 1
Another great performance from the whole team which consisted of Sean Boyd, Ian Britton, Simon Bate and Patrick Fletcher. King's won all the singles matches and one of the doubles matches. A special thanks to Patrick who came into the team at very late notice and won all his matches with a borrowed racket! Well played team and good luck in the next round. CM

1st team boys against Rydal School (Nestle Competition U19 Boys) - Wednesday, November 21, 2007 (away)
King's won 4 to 2

The boys' first tennis team consisting of James Barber, Sean Boyd, Stephen Mosford and Patrick Fletcher played Rydal Schol in the regional round of the  Nestle national  tennis knock out competition. In the doubles matches James and Sean and Stephen and Patrick beat there equifiliant pairs from Rydal relatively comfortably. It was a slightly different story in the singles events James lost to the Rydal number one, Steven lost to Rydal number four, but Sean and Patrick won against  Rydal numbers two and four respectively. Overall King's won 4 - 2 and go on to play Ellesmere College. Well done.  CM
