The Cathedral Refectory – the location of The King’s School for most of the years from the foundation in 1541 to 1876 when the Blomfield Buildings were built. There were several periods during that time when the school temporarily moved out. E.g. In 1578 the refectory was pronounced “too ruinous” and we vacated it, probably not returning until 1650.
