Pre and After School Care Scheme
Introduction
We offer a very popular and successful pre- and after school care scheme which operates:
The scheme is managed by qualified Playworkers who have been carefully chosen to ensure children receive the best quality care. It is run on a flexible basis to suit parents' needs. Volunteer involvement is also encouraged from local college childcare courses and from interested parents/supporters as well as from selected sixth form pupils.
Varied activities are arranged such as art, craft and games, together with a supervised area for quiet study/homework.
The scheme is open to all Junior School children and Removes (Year 7) in the Senior School.
Opening Times and Costs
The scheme is open:
Pre- School Morning Session:
8.00-8.40pm - £2.50 per whole/part session
The morning session includes supervised activities and the children are escorted to the Junior School entrance for the start of the school day. Breakfast is available for an additional cost.
After School Afternoon Sessions:
3.30 - 5.00pm - £5.00 per whole/part session
3.30 - 6.00pm - £8.00 per whole/part session
The afternoon session includes the children being escorted from the Junior School entrance at the end of the school day. Providing supervised, stimulating play activities, indoor and outdoor play (weather –dependent) plus swimming and cookery sessions at no additional cost. A supervised quiet study room is available for homework. Light tea (e.g. sandwich and fruit/cake) and drink provided before 5.00pm.
Child Care Vouchers
We are able to accept childcare vouchers from various providers to pay for pre and after school sessions.

Fun, Fun, Fun!
The scheme currently cares for around 91 children before and after school. Our aim is to offer fun activities and to enable homework to be completed. The feedback we receive is always excellent and parents often tell us their children have had such a good time, they don't want to go home! You'll often hear "You're too early, come back later!"

- Movie Nights (with popcorn and treats)
- Nintendo Wii Nights
- Prize Bingo
- Dodge ball
- Table Tennis Tournaments
- Care Scheme's Got Talent
- Treasure Hunts
- ICT
- Arts & Crafts
Flexible
The Care Scheme is designed to be flexible to meet the needs of our parents so sessions can be changed and organised on an "as and when" basis with 24hours notice from parents.
