AJIS Cross Country Meeting - October 2006

AJIS athletics

On Monday, 12th June, pupils from J3 and J4 made their way to Stanley Park, Blackpool to take part in the AJIS athletics competition.  The standard was extremely high, and the pupils enjoyed the challenge.  This year we had some very impressive results.  Peter Boothroyd was superb in the Year 5 600m and achieved third place.  Jonathan Verity also did very well and got third place in the final of the Year 6 Hurdles.  Cameron Thompson jumped his way to second place in the Year 5 Long Jump and Edward Russell won the Year 5 Hurdles and so brought home a gold medal.

Well done to all those that took part.
