The KSPA has launched its own '200' Club – the leisurely way to support The King's School !!

How it works –We have a total of 200 shares - each membership share sells at just £2/month or £24 per annum and, of course, every family can own as many shares as they like increasing their chances of success.

Every month there will be a prize draw of £40, £25 and £15 with the big annual draw at Christmas for £250, £150 and £50. Over £1300 of prize money per annum – with a very good chance of success !!

Payment can be made by cheque annually, cash, or better still by standing order – download a 200 Club membership/enrolment form.

KSPA - The King's School Parents AssociationKSPA members providing refreshments at the athletics championshipsThe King's School Parents Association is comprised of parents and former parents of both Junior and Senior School pupils who meet together to organise social and fundraising events.

Money raised from the fundraising is used to support requests from the school (Senior and Junior) for financial support with various items of capital expenditure that will potentially benefit ALL pupils.

The KSPA has charitable status.

Some examples of recently purchased equipment include:

2011

  • Cricket benches for Senior School
  • Adventure Trial for Junior School worth £10k
  • Grand Piano for Senior School
  • Rugby Kit
  • Additonal eqipment for the King's School new radio station.

2010

  • Computer equipment for the Junior School
  • Whiteboards for Physics and Maths Departments
  • Playground markings for the Junior School
  • A weather station for the Geography Department
  • Cricket benches for the Junior School
  • Tables and chairs for the Cricket Pavilion
  • 40 athletics/cross country vests for the Junior School
  • Word games and individual fiction texts for the English Department
  • CD player for the Junior School

Money was raised for these items through various fundraising events including the very successful annual Christmas Market.

We also support the school by providing refreshments, at school events such as Concerts, Drama Productions and Sports Days.

We aim to organise social events for parents and pupils with the emphasis on having fun and meeting new people.

Who can join?

All parents automatically become members whilst their child is at the school.

There is a meeting at the beginning of the Michaelmas term to elect the main committee officers, but anyone is welcome to join the committee at any time.

We meet approximately once per month to discuss requests for donations and to plan social and fundraising events. We would LOVE for more parents to join us, either by being a regular committee member or simply by offering to help out at one or two events.

We recognise that all parents are busy (it goes with the territory !) but would appreciate any help that you could offer – it is a great opportunity to meet other parents and to have some fun !
