KSPA members providing refreshments at the athletics championshipsKings School Parents Association is comprised of parents and former parents of both Junior and Senior School pupils who meet together to organise social and fundraising events.

Money raised from the fundraising is used to support requests from the school (Senior and Junior) for financial support with various items of capital expenditure that will potentially benefit ALL pupils.

The KSPA has charitable status.

Some examples of recently purchased equipment include:

  • Computer equipment for the Junior School
  • Whiteboards for Physics and Maths Departments
  • Playground markings for the Junior School
  • A weather station for the Geography Department
  • Cricket benches for the Junior School
  • Tables and chairs for the Cricket Pavilion
  • 40 athletics/cross country vests for the Junior School
  • Word games and individual fiction texts for the English Department
  • CD player for the Junior School

Money was raised for these items through various fundraising events including the very successful annual Christmas Market.

We also support the school by providing refreshments, at school events such as Concerts, Drama Productions and Sports Days.

We aim to organise social events for parents and pupils with the emphasis on having fun and meeting new people.

Who can join?

All parents automatically become members whilst their child is at the school.

There is a meeting at the beginning of the Michaelmas term to elect the main committee officers, but anyone is welcome to join the committee at any time.

We meet approximately once per month to discuss requests for donations and to plan social and fundraising events.  We would LOVE for more parents to join us, either by being a regular committee member or simply by offering to help out at one or two events.

We recognise that all parents are busy (it goes with the territory !) but would appreciate any help that you could offer – it is a great opportunity to meet other parents and to have some fun !
