Mr Lee and Mr Heap Race to Fundraise for Down’s Syndrome Charity

Mr Lee and Mr Heap Mr Lee and Mr Heap recently competed in this year’s Lakeland 50 race, which is said to be one of the toughest running challenges in Europe. They were raising money for the Sundown’s Charity which aims to support individuals with Down's Syndrome and their families.  The Lakeland 50 is an ultra-marathon, which is nearly twice the length of a marathon at 50 miles long. The race itself is over rough terrain and involves more than 10,000 feet of ascent. The route begins in Ullswater and finishes at Coniston.

After starting on the 30th July at 12:24pm, they managed to finish the ultra-marathon on the 31st July at 04:11am.  Mr Lee and Mr Heap were able to raise a total of £2131.19 which the charity has now received.  We would like to thank those people who sponsored Mr Lee and Mr Heap by supporting Sundown’s.
