King's Chester is the one of the top independent, private day schools for boys and girls. It has Junior (preparatory), Senior and Sixth Form sections and takes pupils from Cheshire, Shropshire, the Wirral and North Wales. It consistently achieves somes of the best academic results in the area; offers academic bursaries; and is well known for its sports, rowing and music.

King's lead the contingent

The King's School CCF is one of the most successful in the country. It has two sections: Army and RAF and is open to boys and girls from Shells and upwards. After the term saw our Upper Sixth cadets compete for the chance to lead the contingent. This is an important role within CCF and Cadets compete for the honour. The selection process included leadership tasks, an interview, delivering a lecture and group discussions on current affairs. The highest scoring Cadets were: Mark Rennie (U6ER) performed outstandingly with the highest score and was appointed to Cadet RSM (Regimental Sergeant Major) and Cadet Will Miller (U6ML) came second and was appointed to Cadet CSM (Company Sergeant Major).CCFCCF Matt Temple (L6KS) has been promoted as a result of his superb leadership skills to lead the RAF Section.
