King’s pupils have fun drawingThe King’s School recently participated in a national campaign called ‘The Big Draw’, the aim of which was to draw. According to the experts, drawing helps us think, invent and communicate – regardless of age and ability. An array of activities and events were held across the country. Throughout our Open Morning, on 15th October, King’s invited current pupils and staff, as well as prospective pupils and parents to get involved in our 'Drop and Draw'. Due to its success and the enjoyment that ensued, King’s rolled this 'Big Draw' activity out to the whole school. The Big Draw was launched as a one-day event in 2000 however it is now an annual month-long festival of over one thousand events across the UK. Every October, museums, galleries, heritage sites, libraries, schools and parks join in – inviting people of all ages to discover how drawing can connect them with their surroundings and the wider community. |
