King’s share Passion for ‘Poetree’

As part of the Passion for Poetry Christmas performances, pupils wrote their own haikus on a Christmas theme. Haikus are a form of imagist poetry following the line syllable pattern of 5,7,5, which traditionally offer a word-picture of the natural world or environment. Pupils wrote their haikus on paper Christmas decorations and then hung them up on a special ‘poetree' in the Vanbrugh Theatre for all to enjoy. Here are the winners: Chrismas Haikus
