King’s announces Winter Poetry Competition winners

Following on from the Passion for Poetry Christmas performances in December, all students at King's were invited to write a poem on any aspect of the Winter Season. An impressive range of entries was received from all age groups and judging proved, as usual, very difficult. The 12 shortlisted poets read their poems aloud to an appreciative audience of students and staff (and Santa) in our Seasonal Poetry Celebration on the 14th December. The winning poems are as follows 'The Calling' by Grace Taylorson-Smith Pritchard (L6JS), 'Snowflakes' by Damayanti Chatterjee (SHJJ), 'He Who Changed Everything' by Isabel Dawson (3JR). The poems can be seen below:He Who Changed EverythingThe CallingSnowflakes
