King's Chester is the one of the top independent, private day schools for boys and girls. King's pupils and staff take part in the Chester Marathon

Finn Abberton (L6DB) and Jack Duncalfe (L6ER) ran the 26.2 mile Chester Marathon on 7th October 2012, in aid of Cancer Research UK. Both completed the marathon in a time of 3 hours 44 minutes. Ralph Elsegood (L6HF) and Mr. Blackham also completed the marathon, in 4 hours 13 minutes and 3 hours 56 minutes respectively.

Finn and Jack have raised approximately £1,300 so far, including online donations, however their target is £1,500. Donations can be made to their JustGiving page here
