Two former pupils selected for GB World Cup Rowing squad
Two former pupils, Tom James MBE (gold medallist in the 2008 Beijing Olympics) and Chris Bartley, have been selected for the GB World Cup Rowing Squad. As members of the squad, they will take part in a series of three World Regattas. The Olympic Team for London 2012 will be selected from this elite group. This follows the recent success of another former pupil, Mike Thorp. In March, he became the School’s twelfth Blue in the University Boat Race, confirming King’s as one of the leading rowing schools in the country with a tradition of developing elite rowers. |
