Removes at the District Minors Athletics ChampionshipKing’s entered the District Minors Athletics Championships with a full complement of Removes competitors. The girls finished in 5th place and the boys in 6th. There were some very promising individual performances, which were impressive considering the summer term has only been four weeks long. The girls dominated the 1500m race, with Rachel Huber (RmRA) winning the event and Jennifer McDonald (RmGA) coming a close 2nd place. Chloe Cowan (RmIR) was 3rd in the high jump and Erika Ignata (RmLB) 3rd in the 70m hurdles. Jack Hodgkinson (RmSC) came 2nd in the boys’ throwing event and Josh Dawson (RmRA) came 3rd in the 800m with a personal best of 2 minutes and 43 seconds. |
