Mrs Cooke appointed Director of the Hallé Choir

Mrs CookeSinging teacher Mrs Cooke has been appointed Director of the Hallé Choir. Mrs Cooke is not only the first ever female Director of the Hallé Choir, but the only female Director of any of the major Symphony choruses in the United Kingdom.

Mrs Cooke is involved in almost all of the School’s concerts whether as a choir director, singer, accompanist or double bass player. She has a significant involvement with the forthcoming opening programme of the new Vanbrugh Theatre as a soloist in the Gala Concert on 25th June and an accompanist for four of the lunchtime recitals, featuring past and present pupils.
