Mr Lee and Mr Heap Race to Fundraise for Down’s Syndrome Charity

Mr Heap and Mr LeeMr Lee and Mr Heap are competing in this year’s Lakeland 50 race; one of the toughest running challenges in Europe. They hope to raise £2,000 for local charity, Sundowns.

The charity's aim is to support individuals with Down's Syndrome and their families. Since Michael's nephew Oscar was born last year, they have provided invaluable help, support and advice to Oscar and his parents, Amanda and Steve.

As the name suggests, the course is nearly twice the length of a marathon at 50 miles long. The race is over rough terrain and involves more than 10,000 feet of ascent. The route begins in Ullswater and finishes at Coniston.
