Minors at the County Athletics

Seven students from the Removes were selected to represent the District in the Cheshire Championships in Warrington on June 28th at Victoria Park.

Erika Ignata (RmLB) competed in the girls’ Hurdles competition and Lee Bryce (RmRA) took part in the boys’ competition. Jessica Middleton (RmRA) threw the Javelin, Jack Hodgkinson (RmSC) the Discus, Jennifer McDonald (RmGA) and Rachel Huber (RmRA) ran the 1500 Metres, and Chloe Cowan (RmIR) performed in the High Jump. All students performed well and there were some personal bests on the evening, most notably Lee Bryce, who came 3rd in his event with a time of 12.9 seconds and Chloe Cowan, who came 4th jumping 1.26 metres.
