SIXTH FORM LIBRARY TEAM

The Sixth Form Library Team help to supervise the library. They work at the library desk issuing, returning and renewing books and checking bibliographic details for new book orders. They also help to catalogue new books in a subject they study at 'A' level. Members of the sixth form assist as Library Prefects at morning break and lunch times.

PUPIL LIBRARIANS

Boys and girls from Removes to the Fifth Form can volunteer to be pupil librarians. Their main duties are to shelve books returned from loan, tidy the shelves, process new items, create spine labels and help with photocopying, laminating and spiral binding. Selected boys help to run the stationery shop, selling items and performing regular stock checks. There is a training programme which is undertaken by all new pupil librarians.

There are opportunities for Pupil Librarians and members of the Sixth Form Team to undertake the Duke of Edinburgh's Award "Library and Information Skills" programme.
