JOURNALS We have over 90 journal and magazine titles covering a wide range of subjects, of which 62 are current. The most recent issue for each title can be found on the new journal display down the centre of the library. Previous issues are shelved in red boxes on the adjacent shelves, arranged in alphabetical order by title. Journals are normally for reference only, but individual issues may be borrowed in special cases. We have online access to the full electronic version
of a number of journals. These include Art Magazine, The Economist,
New Internationalist, Prospect, Times Literary Supplement, and
history journals via History Online. Many other journals have their
own
website with contents lists and summaries of articles. The Daily Telegraph, The Times and The Guardian are received daily. We also take The Chester Chronicle. All are for library use only. We no longer subscribe to the daily El País, Liberation or Le Monde, as they are now available via the Internet, together with many other newspapers. Copies of some tabloid newspapers are also available for GCSE studies of the media.
