Alumnae Careers talk – Emma Ross (OKS 2005)

UK Warehouse Manager, Emma Ross (OKS 2005) returned to King’s last week for the first time since her A Level results day to give a careers talk to current Fifth and Sixth Formers.

The alumnae careers talks form part of our 20 years of girls at King’s celebrations and are a great opportunity for our students to hear about the first-hand experiences of recent leavers.

Emma went on to study English Language and Philosophy, before changing to Musical Theatre and then by chance rediscovering the world of economics and logistics, and changing her degree to Retail and Events Management. Emma is currently the UK Warehouse Manager for Hilti.

Her talk focused on the importance of understanding yourself, doing what is best for you and not following the crowd.

Mr Walton, one of Emma’s Economics teachers joined colleagues, a mix of Fifth and Sixth Form students to hear all about Emma’s university and career choices and take part in a Q&A session.

Emma then enjoyed a tour of the school with members of our Development Department.

This Friday (February 8), we will welcome back Hannah Webb who is studying Veterinary Nursing at Royal Veterinary College.
