Animator Lily-Ella is praised by favourite author

As part of the Summer Reading Challenge, Lily-Ella Barnard (RMSC) made a video animation based on Lissa Evans’ book ‘Wed Wabbit‘. Our Patron of Reading, Non Pratt had the task of judging the reading challenge and was amazed by the animation.

When presenting the awards Non asked Lily-Ella if she could send a copy of her video to Lissa, which she was delighted to do. After watching the animation, Lissa personally emailed Lily-Ella congratulating her!

Over the summer the new Removes were given the chance to take part in the challenge, which involved reading at least four books on the theme of ‘other lands’ and then producing a creative project to one or more of the books. Lily-Ella, alongside two other pupils, was named as one of the overall winners.
