Thank you to Carena Graham-Benson for this week’s careers breakfast.
Carena worked in banking for 25 years before embarking on a second career in the world of governance and compliance. Despite a reputation for being boring, Carena was able to persuade pupils that her job is actually never dull!
Carena works in education and is responsible for governance and compliance in a Multi Academy Trust, but she explained that it is important work that is essential in all sectors to keep organisations running smoothly.
Head of Futures, Clare Holland, thanked Carena for her insights: “It was really interesting to listen to Carena speaking about the importance of governance and compliance. It may not be an immediately obvious career but anyone interested in business, law, finance or people would be well-advised to find out more about this fascinating area.”
Next week, we will welcome Orthopaedic Surgeon, Ben Kapur (OKS 2004). Senior School pupils can sign up now on SOCS.
