Once in a lifetime opportunity for Archie in CCF in Canada

Archie Barker (4FOX) took part in a very challenging weekend this month, competing in a CCF (Combined Cadet Force) national selection and has been selected to attend Army Cadet exchange in Canada this summer. Archie took on fitness tests, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, and orienteering. When asked about the selection Archie stated: ‘It was all very challenging but I really did enjoy it.’

After proving himself at the national selection, Archie will now have the opportunity to spend six weeks in Canada under the control of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets and will have the opportunity to do various activities and challenges such as expeditions and a five-day mountain biking excursion.

Archie’s father, Ashley Barker, has said: ‘I would like to thank all of the staff for supporting Archie with his rowing and CCF, both which he loves. He’s had a busy holiday going from the Tilburg rowing trip, which he thoroughly enjoyed, straight onto the cadet selection weekend.’

We are all very proud of what Archie has achieved and wish him the best of luck in Canada this summer.
