Little Shop of Horrors – a Blooming Success

Well, what a show it was! Our sell out production of Little Shop of Horrors was a delight to watch.  The production was snappy and fresh, and our students put their own fantastic take on this popular cult classic. We saw Seymour’s life (Will Medland) be transformed from simple shop worker to celebrity plant expert, whilst trying to combat the insatiable appetite of the carnivorous beast, Audrey II. All this whilst trying to woo Audrey, the love of his life and co-worker (Erika Ignataviciute).

Throw into the mix Audrey’s boyfriend, sadistic dentist Orin (Jack Sackett), the Ronnettes (played by Emily Snow, Abigail Fisher, Charlotte Cross and Phoebe Brightmore) and shop owner Mr Mushnik (Edward Ramsey) this was viewing worthy of any West-End stage.

All the cast were simply brilliant in their acting and singing and we are incredibly proud of their achievements. The orchestra was equally fantastic, playing well known 1960s tracks throughout, as were the superb stage set and lighting.

Last, but by no means least, congratulations also go out to the wonderfully blood thirsty Audrey II (Finlay Paterson and Sam Barnes) who kept the audience on their toes throughout with yells of “feed me!”

We’d like to offer huge congratulations to absolutely everyone involved, a blooming success all round.
