Moving performance for Chester’s Remembrance Service

On Sunday 8 November, Senior School student Honey Holmes (5DUT) played the Last Post for Chester Cathedral’s Remembrance Service. The service was broadcast live on the Cathedral webpage and their YouTube channel.

This is a highly pressured job for any professional trumpet player and each time Honey has played the Last Post in school, she has delivered a professional performance.

After the performance, Honey said: “It was extremely nerve-wracking as it was such a significant event, and I didn’t want to let anyone down, but after performing I was relieved and proud to know that I hopefully did the piece justice.”

Well done Honey on doing an excellent job and representing yourself, King’s, and the community.
