King’s has the winning formula

We were delighted to compete in the Senior Team Maths Challenge at the end of last term. The Further Mathematics Support Programme in partnership with the UK Mathematics Trust organises the Challenge each year. There are 34 regional heats, with the winning team from each making it to the national final in London. We competed in the Chester heat at Christleton High School.

Our team was :  Matteo Foglio (U6SD), Yuxin Shi (U6NH), Jonathan Ralphs (L6DB) and Tom Ramsbottom (L6SW). The team fought off tough competition to come 2nd out of 15 teams in the area.

We are still in with a chance of making it to the national final since some of the top scoring 2nd place teams will be chosen to compete. Once all of the regional heats have taken place we will find out whether we have been successful in securing a place. Watch this space!
