Four of our talented scientists attended The Royal Society of Chemistry, Salters’ Institute Festival of Chemistry at Liverpool John Moore’s University on 9 May.
Excitement and anticipation turned to awe as our team of four Shell students and Mrs Jepson arrived at the high-tech super-lab at Liverpool John Moore’s University. Along with 20 other schools, participants took part in: a “Forensic Challenge”; a CSI style whodunit; and a “University Challenge”, requiring both teamwork and excellent problem solving skills.
The team rose to every challenge, demonstrating enthusiasm and meticulous work throughout; and were all excellent ambassadors for our School.
A creditable and very close run third prize was achieved in the “University Challenge” and Dr Cook is thrilled with the equipment we won for the Chemistry department.
Congratulations to Mickey Nugen (ShMP), Isabella Jones (ShMB), Jonty Spall (ShMP) and Thomas Brennan (ShCM).
