Our Willow Lodge pupils were delighted to welcome former King’s student and Olympic Double Gold Medallist, Tom James, to the school.
Tom visited every class in Willow Lodge, giving pupils the opportunity to ask some great questions whilst also watching him give a video analysis of his dramatic photo finish win at the London Olympics in 2012!
Our infants questioned Tom on an array of topics including, his emotions after winning Gold in both London and Beijing, recovery techniques after long races, dealing with pre-race nerves and even rowing in crocodile infested waters!
The pupils were very excited to be given the opportunity to hold both of Tom’s Olympic Gold Medals, whilst also receiving a signed picture of Tom to take home.
The perfect end to an oar-some afternoon!
