King’s Girls off to a flyer in new Hockey Season

The King’s 1st XI girls recently enjoyed their first tournament victory of the season by winning the Chester and District Outdoor Tournament with a clean sweep of wins against Bishop Heber, Tarporley and The Queen’s School. The King’s School team opened their account with a 3-0 victory over Bishop Heber High School, followed by a 2-0 win against Tarporley High School before closing the tournament with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Queen’s School.

The team played excellent hockey and created chances galore in all three matches. Captained by Izzie Howell, who led the goal scoring, the girls have started the season very well and look forward to their National Schools’ journey beginning next week.
