Hello everyone, my name is Skye and I am five years old. It was my birthday in November and I had a delicious birthday cake.
I am in Reception in Wrens Class and Mrs Stevenson is my teacher and Miss Takacs is my teaching assistant.
My favourite animal is a giraffe because of their long necks and their amazing pattern.
The food I love the most is…mmm, that’s tricky question…I’d have to say orange, purple and yellow carrots.
For fun, I love to do craft and make things with my Aunty Bron and I love to spot birds. My favourite bird is a kingfisher. I think they are so beautiful.
I don’t have a pet, but if I did I would like a dog and I would call it Rose.
My favourite thing about Willow Lodge are the lessons which are very interesting and I also love all the sport and Forest School that we do.
I love to see my friends and teachers every day!
Recently, we followed Skye throughout her day at Willow Lodge. Visit the next tab to see how she got on!
No two days are the same at Willow Lodge but we wanted to share a ‘typical’ day enjoyed by our Reception pupils.
Here is a photo diary of Skye’s day at school!

We asked Skye’s mummy and daddy about choosing Willow Lodge for their daughter’s first steps into primary education.
What made you choose Willow lodge for your child’s education?
We spent a long time and visited various schools to ensure we made a right choice for Skye. We decided on Willow Lodge because it felt like the right fit. A really good mix of both academic and sports along with Forest School which was a firm favourite at kindergarten. We were really pleased that swimming lessons happen every week within the school day and also like the language teaching. The range of after school options were also excellent. We also were happy with the level of discipline and effort that Willow Lodge expects but also the pastoral care for the children.
What aspect of Willow Lodge do you think sets it apart from other schools?
Setting the children up for the results that King’s regularly achieves.
What do you think your child enjoys the most about going to school?
Apparently it’s ALL “great”! But swimming, Forest School and Spanish seems to be the current favourites!
Would you recommend Willow Lodge to other parents, and if so why?
Without a shadow of a doubt. As far as is clear at the moment we are providing the absolute best start we can for our daughter.
If you could describe Willow Lodge in three words, what would they be?
Fun, challenging and engaging
