The Youngest British Ambassador in History – John Everard attends the 1970s Reunion

 At our recent 1970s reunion, it came as a surprise to us to discover that alumnus John Everard was in fact the youngest  British Amabassador in history. John, who speaks 5 languages was formerly the British Ambassador to Belarus, British Ambassador to Uruguay, and British Ambassador to North Korea, after which he was the holder of the Pantech fellowship at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University in 2010-11.^[1]

He was appointed the Co-ordinator of the United Nations Panel of Experts on sanctions against North Korea established by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1874 in March 2011^[2] and withdrew from that position in November 2012.^[3]

He has recently embarked upon a new career as an Independent documentary film-maker.
