Summer 2015

Dear Friends,

King’s Alumni returned to Henley for a second consecutive year on the 3rd July to enjoy the Regatta. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and a great time was had by all!
It was lovely to meet 1995 leavers too, at their reunion in May, read all about it in this bulletin. We have made great progress this term installing our new database and our new online events booking system, which will be ready to launch in the next few months, so watch this space!

September will be a landmark month for King’s as we open the doors to Infants, in our brand new purpose built Infant School - Willow Lodge. We will also be holding our first ever Founder’s Dinner on the 12th of the month. It will be held at School and will be a superb evening of fun, entertainment, great food and nostalgia. There are still a few places left so don’t miss out. Here is the link to book  https://foundersdinner2015.eventbrite.co.uk

We are attempting to contact 1966, 1976 and 2006 leavers this summer for our 2016 Reunions which will be held in February, March and June next year and are planning a prestigious event on board HMS Belfast in London next April, more details will follow shortly.

2016 heralds the 475th anniversary of the founding of the School by Henry VIII and we are planning a number of events to celebrate this, including the opening of a new ‘Archive Walk’, a Cathedral Service and a black tie Dinner at School next September. It would be lovely if Alumni spanning the decades could join us to celebrate this special anniversary.

If you do have any news you would like to share, or would like to update us of a change of address or email, please let Liz Gwyther know, her email is eeg@kingschester.co.uk

We wish you all the very best for a lovely summer.

Warm Regards

The Alumni Team
