Congratulations to our Junior School athletics team who enjoyed a hugely successful day at the 2026 AJIS competition in Manchester.
With characteristic sportsmanship, J3 and J4 pupils represented The King’s School with pride and determination, cheered on by a crowd of supportive parents and staff throughout the day.
The team was accompanied by Mr O’Neil, Mrs Willis, Mrs Grove and Miss Massey who kept spirits high as the team battled through the typically British summer weather.
Mr O’Neil praised the pupils for a great day: “There were some incredible individual performances today but it is our supportive team spirit that I am always most impressed by. Our young athletes challenge themselves and each other to be the best they can be, and that really paid dividends in this year’s AJIS competition.
“To come away with so many medals – and even a new AJIS record – is fantastic and our pupils can be very proud of themselves.
