Gallery: Behind the scenes of The Tempest

There might not be an audience in the Vanbrugh Theatre to watch this year’s J4 production, but that doesn’t mean that we haven’t pulled out all the stops to put on a great show.

Mrs Parker took her camera behind the scenes of The Tempest last week to give us a taste of what we can expect from the final production, and we don’t think it will disappoint.

The costumes and scenery were as impressive as ever, but it was the energy and commitment of the pupils that have really impressed Director, Mr Melville and Musical Director, Mrs Stevens.

Mr Melville said: “Acting to camera, and filming out of sequence, is a very different experience to putting on a live production but the pupils have really risen to the challenge and they have put in impressive performances. I can’t wait to see the finished film”

Cast and crew will now take a well-deserved break over the summer and look forward to their moment on the red carpet at the film premiere in September.
