Our Junior School ski trip takes place every two years and the excitement at the end of term was palpable as the Easter holidays began and pupils prepared to jet away to France.
34 pupils and five members of staff travelled to the small resort of La Rosière where, blessed with lots of fresh snow, beginners and experienced skiers alike enjoyed a fun-filled week on the slopes.
The trip was led by J4 teacher, Jonathan Melville, who was full of praise for the group.
He said: “The children were outstanding ambassadors for The King’s School, embracing the challenge of skiing as well as demonstrating great friendship and teamwork. It was a real pleasure to spend the week with them.”
As well as making excellent progress in daily ski school and growing in confidence, the pupils also enjoyed a range of après-ski activities including swimming, disco and karaoke, returning home to Chester very happy but very tired!
