This year’s Junior School Sports Days were a fantastic celebration of athleticism and teamwork.
From record-breaking throws to the sea of happy faces during every race, the two days saw pupils from J1 to J4 demonstrating infectious enthusiasm and a wide range of skills across all events.
Sports Day is not only an opportunity for pupils to show what they can do on the track, it is also a chance to come together across the year groups in their Houses, celebrate each other’s successes and create lasting memories at the end of a busy academic year.
Pupils left parents and teachers impressed with the enthusiasm they all showed for their events. Head of Junior School Sport Miss Massey said: “A particular highlight for me was witnessing the pupils give their absolute best in every event.
“Whether pacing themselves in the 600m or working together to pass the baton in the shuttle relay, their effort and determination were inspiring. I have loved seeing how much the children have progressed in their athletic abilities.”
Congratulations to winning House Lindans who took the top spot with 512 points, followed by Evans with 469 points, Falles with 466 points and Shepherds with 445 points. A number of Junior School records were broken on the day and are listed below.
Thank you to Junior School staff for the fantatisc organisation, parents for their enthusiastic support of our young athletes and our wonderful KSPA for providing refreshments on both days.
