Today Phillip Leighton visited King’s and ran workshops with reception, year 1, 2 and 5 pupils. Phillip is an experienced tennis coach who is now working for the British LTA.
The pupils enjoyed a curriculum time taster session before being invited to take part in a free tennis festival held at Hoole LTC and Helsby TC over the coming weekend. The festival will be an interactive and action packed tennis experience with fun tennis games, inflatable tennis targets and equipment provided.
It was a great morning, even if it was raining, which gave the pupils a fantastic introduction to tennis and was enjoyed by all!
