Congratulations to our Removes and Shells who all took part in this year’s UK Mathematical Trust (UKMT) Junior Mathematical Challenge, achieving an impressive total of 112 certificates.
The Junior Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute maths challenge that encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency. Featuring 25 questions that get increasingly harder, the challenge is accessible to everyone whilst challenging those with more experience.
King’s pupils achieved 54 Bronze certificates, 47 silver and 11 gold, with five pupils scoring more than 100 points out of the possible 135 to progress to the next round of the competition.
