Alumnae Careers talk – Hannah Webb (OKS 2016)

Last week Hannah Webb (OKS 2016) returned to King’s to give a careers talk to current Fifth and Sixth Formers about studying Veterinary Nursing at The Royal Veterinary College.

Hannah also spoke to Willow Lodge pupils about what Veterinary Nursing involves and answered their wonderful, and at times unpredictable, questions!

Hannah’s talk focused on the requirements of her course, the support that she is able to give to animals and veterinary practices, and her favourite aspects of the degree. Hannah also explained the key differences between being a vet and veterinary nurse and what made her choose to study Veterinary Nursing.

Some of Hannah’s teachers from when she was at King’s joined a mix of Fifth and Sixth Formers to hear all about Hannah’s university choice and take part in a Q&A session.

Hannah also had a tour of the school with the Development Department, giving her an opportunity to see what’s changed at King’s since she left.

Willow Lodge pupils asked Hannah a variety of questions including: ‘What is the smallest animal you’ve treated?’, ‘How do you make animals better?’ and ‘What is your favourite animal?’.

Our next careers talk, on March 1 will be from former Head Girl Hayley Milner (OKS 2014), a current Masters Student in Law, Business and Management.
