Henley Royal Regatta 2019

We recently discovered that OKS Stephen Jones, currently serving as an Officer in the Army will be racing at this year’s Royal regatta for the UK Armed Forces. In a one-off event he and his crew will be competing against the Armed Forces of 7 other nations. He’ll be racing in “The King’s Cup” which commemorates 100 years since the Henley Peace Regatta in 1919. For the first time, male and female military athletes will row in the same boat at an elite international event. More information about the Race can be found here.

Stephen told us “As a crew we are already so proud of how many clubs across the country are getting behind us for this event and we’re hoping to truly pay tribute to all those involved in the Great War. Naturally for me that certainly focuses on the King’s alumni of the era.”
