Harry plays his part in record haul for GB in Shanghai!

In a previous article, we saw the beginning of a journey for Harry Brightmore (OKS 2012) and his team heading into the World University Championships.

After catching up with Harry, we are delighted to find out that his team won gold!

Harry told us, “It was a record haul for Great Britain with 6 gold medals and one silver for the team – giving the squad the top spot on the medal table.”

The celebratory news comes after months of tough training along with having to fund their way to Shanghai for the Championships. With help from social media shares, word of mouth and lots of hard work – we’re pleased they made it there, with a bonus result of representing Great Britain so well. You can catch up with their journey here.

Once the celebrations are over and all have recovered, it’s back into full time coxing for Harry. With high ambitions to enter the 2019 World Championships and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, we are keen to continue following his journey along the way!

We wish him all the success for the future and have no doubts he will do well.
