Alumni Summer Get-Together!

It was fantastic to finally host our first in person event in over 2 years last Saturday – our Alumni Summer Get-Together. We were delighted to welcome back so many familiar and new faces to King’s for an afternoon of rounders, music, liquid refreshment and convivial company. Alumni spanning the decades joined us, including those who left King’s in 1954 all the way to those who left just last year in 2020!

During the event, Headmaster George Hartley paid tribute to Charles Hagon (OKS 1985) who sadly passed away recently and it was lovely to see so many 1985 leavers come together at the event. We were also able to award Adrian Ackroyd (OKS 1974) a Leading Light award for his contribution to King’s over the past 25 years.

It was wonderful to see family generations of King’s scholars at the event. Neil Richardson (OKS 1957) brought along his family including Isobel who has just started in Removes this week (and the pair made quite the Rounders duo!). Andy Jones (OKS 1990) also joined us with his 2 sons Toby and Harry who are currently in 3rd year and Removes at Kings.

We have several events scheduled over the next coming months if you wish to join us – including CAOKS 155th Alumni Dinner on October 16th and our annual London Get-Together on November 11th. Tickets can be bought here: https://www.kingschester.co.uk/alumni/alumni-events/
