Alumni Battlefields Trip

Do you remember your school trip to the battlefields with affection?

King’s Alumni have the opportunity to relive their school Battlefields trip with friends and family. We are organising a short break this summer and would love parents to join us!

The King’s Alumni team and The King’s School History Department are organising a short break to the Battlefields of Belgium and Northern France this summer and we would like to offer you the opportunity to join us.

The trip will take place from 14 -18 July, 2019 and includes visits to various battlefields and the cemeteries of Arras, the Somme, Ypres as well as several museums. Slightly more luxurious than your previous ‘school trips’, we will be staying in a 4* hotel and your package will include most entrance fees into the museums.

The trip has a unique focus examining the exploits of the young King’s scholars forced to abandon their education and fight for their country. Led by Mr Seb Neal, our resident Battlefields expert, there may be an opportunity to explore your own family links to the region, as well as enjoying a relaxing, informative short break. Our Headmaster, George Hartley and his wife Merewyn will also be joining us

If you are interested in joining us, all deposits are payable by Thursday 28th February.
